John Alton is an American actor. He received a degree in Industrial Design from Arizona State University and after working in the design professions for a number of years trained as an actor at the Performer Studio Workshop with the esteemed Kathy Laughlin for five years. John relocated to Los Angeles in 2005 and has been working as an actor since then. He works in film, television and on stage and studied with John Kirby at the prestigious John Kirby Studio in Hollywood from 2014-2020.
Some of his notable films are 2022’s Oscar nominated short “Please Hold”, “Your Old Man”, “Starship Rising “, “The Assignment” and “Odd Brodsky”.
Fall of 2023 John appeared on “Lesson’s in Chemistry” with Brie Larson and “Quantum Leap” with Raymond Lee.
He has also appeared in television on the hit shows “Gilmore Girls” “The Office” “Wilfred” and “Fresh off the Boat”.
Fantastic news in 2022: “PLEASE HOLD” was one of five films nominated for an Oscar by The Academy Awards for Best Live Action Short Film! I love sci-fi and I had the privilege of working with the wonderful cast and crew on this film written by K.D. Dávila and Levin Menekse and directed by K.D. Dávila. Starring Erick Lopez.
